Horse Racing

On Sunday we went hiking by the Kentucky River. We hiked for about 2 1/2 hours and I did not complain once!!

We had our first guests in Lexington. Brian and April came up for the weekend and we took them to Buddy's for dinner and then to the Red Mile for the harness races. A good time was had by all...we even won $6.80 on our last race (of course we bet $15 throughout the course of the night).

Our house is starting to come together!

Mike and I spent the weekend working on our house in Lexington. Saturday was a fun-filled day of yardwork, painting, furniture shopping and hanging blinds. We found a great master bedroom set and it is being delivered along with our new bed early this week. We are still on the search for the perfect couch (that doesn't cost more than our mortgage payment). But, things are coming along...almost ready for visitors.

School starts at UK this week so the campus is crazy with all the students moving back in. I love my new job and I am so happy to no longer be a student.

Hope everyone is doing well..I'll post some pics of our house with furniture and my office as soon as I get the digital camera up here in Lex.

Happy Birthday Dadall!

My dad celebrated a birthday this weekend as well. We went up to Cantonton for some yummy breakfast, that he cooked for us, and gave him a new cooler (that doesn't leak) for all of his tailgating this fall. I think next year we'll go to Morton's for another cheap birthday dinner. Happy Birthday Dad!

Happy 4th Birthday Alex

Our nephew Alex turned four on August 10. What a cutie! He had a swimming party and got lots of great presents including cap guns. Stick 'em up!

Check out our new house!

Just kidding...but please come visit us anytime you want!

We are finally getting settled in our new house. We have lots to learn about owning a home. Mike has already mowed the lawn and I am still working on finding a place for all of my shoes. The house will soon be full of furniture and ready for visitors, so get your name on the list.

Introducing Dr. Vincent...

Who ate all the chocolate covered strawberries???

It is official, I am now Dr. Leslie Harris Vincent. Thank you to my husband and four parents for a wonderful graduation party and lots of great memories. I have too many pictures to post but I was so touched that so many people went out of their way to share this awesome day with me.

Even though I am leaving GT after nine years I will always be a yellow jacket at heart. Go jackets!
