The king in his new throne

Because our little man now weighs almost 20 pounds we had to get a new car seat for him. Jack looks so tiny in this monster of a carseat (which will hold him until he is 50 pounds...that should get us through the first year at least!). He was a little confused as to why we were making him try it out in the dining room and couldn't figure out why Mike and I were laughing so hard while he was sitting in it.

Ear infections are no fun!

Jack went for his 6 month checkup and got a great report. He is 19.2 pounds, 27 inches long and still has a big brain (97th percentile baby!). He also got 3 shots and did not do so well after them. He had a fever the entire weekend and was so fussy and miserable. Good thing his Granny was in town to help! On Monday I took Jack back to the doctor and he had an ear infection. Luckily we got some miracle drugs and our boy was on his way to being happy again.

Grocery Shopping with Mom

Jack and I needed to do some grocery shopping for dinner so I tried putting him in the cart without his carrier. He did pretty well sitting up on his own and he loved being able to look out and say hello to everyone at the store. However there was one lady who had the nerve to walk by him without smiling...he had his smile all ready and when she ignored him he looked at me like...um, excuse me, she didn't stop and say how cute I am. How dare her!
Hey Mom...don't forget the lettuce!

Who needs a bottle?

After Alex's birthday party we drove out to my Mom's house to celebrate my Dad's birthday. Jack was worn out after his busy day so Uncle Spike gave him a bottle to help him get to sleep.
I'm not sure who needs their "bottle" more...Jack or Spike!

Happy Birthday Alex

Our nephew Alex turned six earlier this month. We drove down to Atlanta to celebrate his birthday with him. He had a pool party with lots of friends from school. Ken and Emily stopped by with Abby and Sarah to see Mr. Jack. Sarah and Jack were fast friends!

Make a wish Alex!

Are you ready for some football?

Jack and I went to the GT bookstore over the weekend to buy a bithday present for Grandpa. While there they had all of the tailgating chairs set up and Jack had to try out the kiddie chair. Of course he was so cute that I had to buy the chair and now he is all ready for some tailgating with his daddy. Now Mike and I are working on teaching him, "Goooooo Jackets! Sting 'em! Bzzzz".

Playtime!

Jack is very proud of himself in this picture. When I left the living room to go to the kitchen he was laying the other way playing and when I came back in he had scooted himself around. I'm still not sure how he got turned the wrong way!

Look at those legs! He loves bouncing while playing with all of his toys.

More pictures of the Jack Attack

Having fun with mommy.

Here's Jack surfing for friends from school on MySpace.

After surfing the web, up next was some baseball on TV.

Toe jam......

Rub-a-dub-dub, fresh from the tub!

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Mike went to Cleveland for work and while he was there had a chance to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He got Jack an adorable outfit that says "My Dad Rocks". How cute!!! I got a Christmas ornament from there to add to our growing collection. Jack and I sure missed Daddy.

Tummy Time!

Here is Jack enjoying his tummy time. He is not the biggest fan on laying on his stomach and holding that big head up but every day he is getting better and better at it. He loves his toy cube and the quilt that his Granny made him. He likes looking at the different colors.
