A neeeeeeeeeeew CAR!

On Saturday we all went to pick up our brand new family car, a 2007 BMW x5. We couldn't really see ourselves in a big ole minivan quite yet, so this is definitely the next best thing. It'll be nice to break it in on our way to Myrtle Beach next week, where we'll surely take more fun family pictures to post here.

Jack, who was very excited to ride around in his new car, was even more excited to be strapped to mommy for a walk around the yard.

The Thorns visit from Louisville

On Saturday Dustin and Amy came to visit Jack for the first time. He was very well behaved, and earned the privilege of sitting at the head of the table for dinner.

Mike's graduation from Emory

Diploma in hand!

After the ceremony with Mike's mom, sister, and brother-in-law.

At this point, Jack was ready to get the show on the road - literally. After lunch with the parents in midtown, the Vincent family packed up the kitty and made the 5.5 hour drive to Lexington.

Jack's Baptism

Jack's baptism was this past Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (the same church that Mike and I were married in). Jack really showed out during the 9am Mass and I had to stand outside with him because he would not stop screaming. He finally fell asleep during the actual baptismal ceremony much to his mommy's relief! Mike and I are hoping that now that he is a child of god he will sleep through the night every night and not fuss! What do you think our chances are?

I love my big boy chair!

Jack had a doctor's appointment on May 2nd so my Dad drove us up for the appointment (and to pick up Spike's canoe that he ordered off eBay - but that is a totally different story!). Jack had a great visit with the doctor. He weighed 13.5 pounds (90th percentile) and is 23.75 inches long (85th percentile). He also had "great brain growth" and went from the 50th percentile to the 97th percentile for his head measurement. He is going to be one smart cookie. While at the doctor Jack got 4 shots and screamed bloody murder and turned so red that I was not sure he would ever recover.

Later on that afternoon I put together his big boy chair and he hung out on the couch with his grandpa watching TV. You wouldn't even guess that just 2 hours earlier he got 4 shots!
