More pictures from the park

Michele, Bradley, Alex, and I had fun playing on the big see-saw at the park.

Mike and Jack enjoying the picnic!

The Williamsons Come to Lexington

Michele, Chris, Alex and Bradley made the long drive up to Lexington to visit. The boys were very well behaved and LOVED the stairs in our house. They had more fun running up and down the stairs than anything else.
On Saturday we had a full day! We went to the park for a picnic lunch and spent several hours playing on the playground. Then we went home and rested up before going to the Lexington Legends baseball game. It was Jack's second game and the first baseball game for Alex and Bradley. Bradley was more interested in the cotton candy than the game (can't say I blame him!) but Alex had an absolute blast at the game. He stayed late with his Daddy and Uncle Mike while Michele and I took the little ones home and put them to bed!

Aren't I just too cute?? This picture was taken just minutes before my meltdown.

Life is good!

Here is my smiling boy! Jack has so much personality these days and he is just so much fun. Mike and I both can't wait to come home every afternoon and see our boy. We are so blessed to have such a happy baby.

Jack and his Grandpa!

Over the holiday weekend we also had 2 belated birthday celebrations for me. On Saturday we went down to the Vincent's where Jack met his cousins John, Mary, and Samantha. We also had some birthday pie and Jack was really eyeing the whipped cream on the top. No, no Jack! Then on Sunday on our way back to Lexington we went to my Dad's for brunch and more birthday gifts. Here is just one of many cute pics from the weekend...Jack hanging out on Grandpa's lap.

Congratulations Carrie Lou!

My college roommate, Carrie Lou, got married this past weekend at the Biltmore. She looked so beautiful and it was so great to see all of my old roommates from Tech. We had so much fun reliving our college days and telling embarrassing stories about each other. The funny thing is that Mike knew one of Will's groomsman from soccer and then used to work with another guy that was married to one of Carrie's bridesmaids. Talk about a small world! Congrats Carrie and Will.

Jack and his buddy Gavin

One of Mike's co-workers was visiting Atlanta during the 4th of July holiday and came by the condo to visit with his wife and son, Gavin. Gavin is 1 month older than Jack and they were instant friends. Jack even shared some of his toys with Gavin. How cute!! Look how proud Jack is to have a friend over to play.

Here are Alex, Jack, and Bradley getting ready to sign the Declaration of Independence. Mike and I got these hats for them last weekend in Philadelphia while touring the Old City and learning about the beginnings of our country.

Jack's first 4th of July was a busy one. We drove down on the 4th just in time for the fireworks at Centennial Olympic Park. Jack and I stayed inside and watched the fireworks from the window. He loved all of the bright colors. Jack looked too cute in his 4th of July outfit that his Granny got for him. You can't see the cute shorts that matched...but they were too precious!

Jack went back to the doctor for his 4 month check up. He got a great report (and 4 shots!). Jack weighed in at 17.1 pounds (90th percentile), 25.5 inches (75th percentile), and his head measurement was still the 97th percentile. Excellent brain growth!

Because Jack is doing so well the doctor told us it was time 'to put that boy on some real food'. So, that night Jack got his first taste of baby food and had some applesauce. He wasn't sure about it at first but now he loves it!! We have also given him some cereal and sweet potatoes. He isn't as crazy about those but knows that if he eats his veggies he gets applesauce for dessert. That's Mommy's boy, always looking forward to dessert! Next up on the menu - peas!
