The L. Scotts come to visit Lexington

The Hartlages came to Lexington for a couple of days and a good time was had by all. We had chili with noodles in honor of Gran, played games, went to the Liquor Barn (it is a must on the tour of Lexington), went to Woodord Reserve distillery, went geo-caching (did I spell that right?), went to the UK bookstore, and dranks lots of martinis. We even went to Louisville to have dinner with Hamilton and then went back to see Aunt Wacko...whew!...what a weekend!

Spring has sprung!

Last fall when Mike's parents were here, Liz planted over 100 tulip bulbs. Over the past week, the tulips have just started to bloom and they are so beautiful. We also discoverd we have lots of daffodils in our yard as well. This is the first time I real plants that are growing...usually I manage to kill all of our plants. Look at Sophie keeping watch over our yard from her sunroom. We have lots of birds here (fat birds) and she sits at the window all day watching them.

Home Improvement

We painted our neon green sunroom a nice boring khaki color. I still have to make drapes for the room and get some wicker chairs and table and it will be finished.

We also painted one of our guest bedrooms this weekend. When we bought the house the trim in this room was smurf blue and the walls were beige. I painted the trim white and fixed all of the damage done to the walls by the tape. Now the room is almost finished...just need some pictures on the wall. We are ready for guests!

Sophie loves to help us work on the computer. What a great helper! She runs over every time we get on the computer and has to see what is going on. She is too cute!

My diploma is finally here

I finally received my diploma from Georgia Tech. Mike gave me this beautiful frame for Christmas and I love it! Won't this look nice in my office?
